According to OpenAI, GPT-5.2 delivers state-of-the-art performance across four capabilities: reasoning, long-context understanding, coding, and vision. The company positions the model as a tool to "power faster, more reliable agentic workflows" — a signal of where OpenAI sees enterprise demand heading.

The emphasis on agentic workflows matters.
